Privacy
Your family's information, kept for your family.
Bayty holds the plans of your home, so we keep this simple: we only keep what Bayty needs to work, we never sell it, and we don't show you adverts. If anything here isn't clear, ask us using the form at the bottom of this page.
Last updated 8 October 2026.
What we keep
- Your account: your email address, and your password (stored scrambled, so nobody can read it), or the Google, Apple or Microsoft account you sign in with.
- Your household: what you add to Bayty, such as your household's name, the people in your family and their colours, your town (to work out prayer times), your tasks and notes, your reminder settings, and the email addresses of anyone you invite.
- Reminders: if you turn them on, the address your phone or computer gives us for sending notifications (from Apple, Google, Microsoft or Mozilla), and a record of reminders sent, so the same one isn't sent twice.
- Sayid, the assistant: what you ask Sayid, with its cost, so we can run it and keep to the daily limits. Photos and files you upload are read once and not kept.
- Calendar links you add: the address of any public calendar you add (for example your masjid's or school's), and the private calendar link if you create one.
On this website
- Example prayer times: we guess your nearest town from your internet connection, only to show times for your area. We don't store it, and you can pick another town.
- Forms: when you apply to be a Founding Ambassador family or send us a message, what you write is emailed to the Bayty team so we can reply. It isn't added to Bayty itself.
- No advertising or tracking cookies. Bayty keeps you signed in, and remembers a few choices such as your calendar layout, in your browser's own storage. Our host keeps basic visit numbers, such as pages viewed and the country visits come from.
Who can see it
Your household's plans are only visible to the people in your household: you, and anyone you invite who accepts. Each person sees what their access allows. We don't share your information with anyone else, except the services below that help run Bayty, and only for that.
Services that help us run Bayty
- Lovable hosts the app and its database (built on Supabase) and handles signing in. Cloudflare delivers the pages.
- Anthropic powers Sayid. Only the conversation and the household details Sayid needs to answer are sent.
- Resend delivers the emails from this website's forms.
- Apple, Google, Microsoft and Mozilla deliver reminders to your devices.
How long we keep it, and your choices
- We keep your information while you have an account. You can delete your account and your household's data yourself, in Settings → Account → Delete account.
- You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it, using the form below.
- If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
